We are hopeful that this year will be better than 2020. Lets face it, the bar isn't that high. The year started out pretty rough. On January 6th, 2021 there was an insurrection on the Capital. We watched in horror as Trump supporters stormed the Capital because they didn't want the election which Biden clearly won certified. They fought saying there was election fraud. It was the saddest day in American history.
Thankfully the rest of the month was much better. We celebrated Steve's birthday with Mick, Suzie, Nick, Aiden and Lindsey via Zoom. Sophia and I made a delicious cherry pie that actually looked as good as it tasted!
We got a few little snow storms this month. Nothing major, just a few inches of snow followed by some ice. It is so disappointing. I really wanted a BIG storm.
I enjoyed cooking some new meals. We also enjoyed some pasta from my favorite restaurant. Friends have given us a gift certificate after Leslie passed and we finally used it. it was delicious.
I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine. I am hoping as more people get vaccinated we can start to return to a semi-normal life. I got mine through one of the places I work at. Steve hunted for a while to get his. He finally got his first dose the end of the month. I am thankful he got it before he has to return to school in March.
Our pets are all good.
This is Mr. Twinkletoes being cuddly.
And Loki being cuddly. He is getting so big!
Here are all the pets at night. They all get treats or meds before we turn in for the night. I love having them all circling around me!
Finally I have been enjoying quiet time knitting. I am working on the blanket that Steve and Sophia got me for Christmas and the sweater I am making myself.
